A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to photograph a gorgeous family in a quaint little park in the middle of Jumeirah. We were very fortunate to have the park all to ourselves. Summer this year has gone on a little longer than usual, however we started early doors to avoid that ever so welcomed heat ;)
I usually spend a bit of time at the beginning of the shoot to get to know the little ones. That way they feel more comfortable with me when I get my camera out. It allows for me to capture some very raw and gorgeous emotion once they befriend me.
It also helps when we are in a location that allows for the children to play and be in their element. This is why I try to avoid a studio setting. I am all about natural light and relaxed raw vibes. As the weather continues to get more and more stunning in Dubai I look very forward to photographing outdoors as much as possible.
I am secretly hoping for a family shoot in the rain one day - although I'll have to be creative in finding a way to protect my camera.
Above I share a few of the moments we captured that morning. I love editing in black and white especially when the facial expressions are priceless. In saying that the beautiful colours of the surrounding trees and hedges deserved their moment too. .
