A few weeks ago I went to Sydney on a photography job and got to discover a city that I had no clue was so beautiful. I was under the impression that it was a bustling city filled with high rises, lots of cars and that non stop city lifestyle that I am very familiar with living here in Dubai. Little did I know that the coast was so beautiful - that every sunrise was picture perfect - that so many people were active and adventurous and that the all round energy was actually very chilled. Mind you I was staying just out of the city center but just a short bus ride from it.
It felt so refreshing being able to head out on long walks along the coast and click away with my camera. My fascination was in the rocks and their formation. Art pieces in their own right. So much intricacy to the movement in the solid structures. As you can tell I was mesmerised!
I also fell in love with the colours of the water. That blue and turquoise that mixed in with the white wash. It reminded me a lot of my trip to Bali couple of years ago. I didn't have my camera with me at that time but I remember how stunning it was to photograph the water - even if just on my iphone. Nature speaks for itself. The colours - the movement - the story behind it all.
Above I share just a few of the shots I took on one of my hikes from Bondi to Coogee. If you are in Sydney it is definitely a route I recommend. I was very grateful to have flown to the capital and have these moments in nature. Photographing the raw - the simple - the inspiring.
