A few weeks ago I shared a blog post about my maternity shoot with the beautiful Emily and her husband Julius. Recently they welcomed their baby girl Lily into the world and I was very lucky to photograph the three of them together in their home.
From the moment I stepped through the door I knew it was going to be a beautiful shoot as the energy in the apartment was ever so peaceful and loving. Motherhood definitely suits my stunning friend Emily.
We started off with a giggle and a catch up and then I got Emily, Julius and Lily in front of the camera enjoying each others company with cuddles, smiles and quiet holds. I was discreetly there to capture each moment in a still frame - memories that Lily will be able to look back on when she is older.
It is this part of my job that gets me very emotional as the thought of a newborn baby today sharing their photos with children of their own one day in the future is magical to me. To be a part of documenting these memories is so rewarding and I couldn't ask for anything more perfect as a career.
