A few weeks ago I had the honour of photographing a group of stunning ladies for a friend and fellow teacher, Andi and her newly launched website - A Calm Space.
Andi and I both lived in the UAE and moved down to New Zealand just a few months before lockdown. She reached out to me after I photographed one of her close friends', Abi and her new baby boy Remi. From there we reminisced about our lives in the Middle East and also our love for working with women in their journey into and through motherhood.
Andi is a yoga teacher and also offers a hypnobirthing program through A Calm Space. She asked a few of her students and clients to join us at a photoshoot for her website. We chose to photograph in a stunning and serene paddock, capturing the strength and honesty of each woman on her own but also as a team alongside each other. I must say it was such a graceful and powerful shoot and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
Since then I have had the privilege of photographing a few of these ladies as new mums with their gorgeous little ones in their arms. I will be sure to share those shoots in upcoming blog posts.
